VU2JAU Jayant Bhide's interview after a convincing victory in taking 2013 HAMFEST to Gwalior. 

After a healthy competition between Hyderabad, Mangalore & Gwalior, as per majority vote from HAMFEST2012 participants , the 2013 HAMFESTINDIA would be held at GWALIOR. The pitch for Gwalior was made in a very passionate manner by VU2JAU Jayant Bhide and his team of enthusiastic hams who made an all out pitch in bagging this prestigious event. 

As a little background , Gwalior is a city in Madhya Pradesh lying 122 kilometres (76 mi) south of Agra, and 423 kilometres (263 mi) north of Bhopal, the state capital. Gwalior occupies a strategic location in the Gird region of India, and the city and its fortress have served as the center of several of historic northern Indian kingdoms.

Gwalior is the administrative headquarters of Gwalior district and Gwalior division.
